Your ideas and help are needed to create new exhibits and panels for the Museum. Your name will be mentioned in the brochure created for the exhibit that you volunteer for. You can also support exhibits that interest you by donating money to WAM.

We are currently collecting materials in English and Japanese related to the comfort women victims, Japan’s military sexual slavery, sexual violence against women, etc. Please contact the museum if you any materials that you would like to donate.

Museum panels can lent to organizations and groups for small workshops, meetings, and seminars. Please contact the museum if you are interested in this.

Volunteers are needed to help enter data, translate (into English, Korean, Japanese, etc.), create new materials, and set-up exhibitions. Click here for an application.

The Women’s Active Museum on War and Peace is currently renting a room near Waseda University in Tokyo. This space is not big enough for our needs. We would like to construct a larger space that will enable us to create more in-depth, permanent exhibitions. This space would also house a larger multi-media corner for visitors, students, and researches, and would allow us to hold more activities within the museum. We do hope that you will give us a hand in constructing a new museum.
